Presentation Guidelines

Instructions for oral presentations

Presentation slots are 20 minutes long (except for the CALL shared task session; for which special timing and instructions apply). Plan to present your work during 15 minutes, allowing 5 minutes for questions and change of speaker.

Presentations are to be made by connecting your own PC or Mac to the projector pre-installed in the hall. Please test that your computer can be properly connected to the projector before your session.

Instructions for poster presentations

A poster panel of three times 70 cm wide and 180 cm high is provided for each presentation. The posters can hence be created in either narrow portrait format, 70 cm wide, or in landscape, 140 cm wide, either with a bend between the parts or with two separate parts, 70 cm wide (see the photo below).

The two poster sessions are held before the lunch break in the lounge area where e.g., the coffee breaks are held. Posters can be put up in the morning (e.g., before the first session or during the coffee break) to allow for pre-viewing. Posters in session 2 (Saturday 26th) need to be removed at the lunch break to make room for the demo session preparations.

Materials to fix your poster on the panel will be provided in the session room. Power supply, wireless internet connection and small tables are available in the room. Please contact the program committee if you need a table for your presentation.

Instructions for the demo session

A poster panel of three times 70 cm wide and 180 cm high is provided for each presentation. The posters can hence be created in either narrow portrait format, 70 cm wide, or in landscape, 140 cm wide, either with a slight bend between the parts or with separate parts, 70 cm wide (see the photo below).

The demo session is held in the lounge area in the afternoon of day two, Saturday August 26th and any posters for the demo session can be put up during the lunch break.

Materials to fix your poster on the panel will be provided in the session room. Power supply, wireless internet connection and small tables are available in the room.
